Ukrainian drone manufacturer BlueBird Tech is offering its unmanned aerial vehicle as a kit that customers can assemble themselves. The Bebradrone Kit is a modular drone where the buyer selects the components they want, such as the control system, video transmitter, camera, flight electronics, and navigation gear. The airframe is available in three grades, with prices ranging from about $150 for the Base version, which is a bare mechanical airframe for self-installation, to $130 for the Pro version, which includes a configured flight controller. The fully assembled Bebradrone glider without added configuration costs around $875 on the market.

The Bebradrone Kit boasts impressive specifications. It flies at a speed of 90 kilometers per hour and can reach up to 150 kilometers. Its tactical range is up to 45 kilometers, and it can carry up to 7.5 kilograms. The drone can stay airborne for up to 30 minutes, with a working altitude of 150 to 500 meters. To launch, the drone uses a pneumatic catapult, which does not require a runway or prepared strip.

BlueBird Tech started as a volunteer group of drone enthusiasts who learned from their mistakes and grew into a research and development operation with workshops dedicated to development, manufacturing, quality control, service, and military contact. The company now has over 350 specialists working in several Ukrainian cities, developing electronic warfare, drone detection, strike FPV, and communications systems.

BlueBird's products undergo real-world testing and are continuously refined based on feedback from the front lines.
