President Sheikh Mohamed sends out message of support on first day of school

Sheikh Mohamed, the leader of the UAE, expressed his support for students as they returned to school on the first day of the new academic year. In a congratulatory message shared on social media, the president emphasized the importance of optimism, ambition, and determination in the children's educational journey.

He described children as the nation's true wealth and encouraged them to seize every opportunity to learn and grow. Sheikh Mohamed also extended his congratulations to teachers, administrators, and parents, wishing them a successful year that would further strengthen the nation's educational journey.

With more than 1,180 public and private schools across the UAE reopening their doors on Monday, more than 1.2 million pupils were set to begin their studies. The return to school came after the previous academic year was significantly disrupted due to the Iran war. Despite this, several new schools had opened in time for the start of the term, demonstrating the resilience and growth of the education sector in the Emirates.
