Phyna marks sister’s death anniversary, says ‘sorry I couldn’t get you justice’

Big Brother Naija Level Up winner Phyna has marked the first anniversary of her sister's death, sharing her regret that justice for the fatal accident has been denied. The accident, involving a Dangote Group truck, resulted in her sister's demise. Phyna alleges that the truck driver was underage and has not been arrested a year later.

She expressed in a recent post how difficult the past year has been, describing the pain of loss as still very fresh. Phyna lamented that despite the passage of time, she still feels as though the loss happened recently. She missed her sister in many ways, including the memories they shared, the little things that only sisters could understand, and the comfort of knowing she was there.

Phyna had previously raised concerns over the incident in August 2025, calling out businessman Aliko Dangote and Dangote Group. The company responded by expressing its commitment to the wellbeing of Phyna's sister and offering support, including medical care and compensation. However, Phyna's sister passed away on August 31, 2025, and Phyna ended her tribute by expressing regret that justice could not be secured for her sister.
