The former International Trade and Industry deputy minister stated that while he will no longer be an active politician, he plans to continue serving the nation alongside individuals with similar ideologies. Ong announced his resignation on Facebook, effective immediately, and directed it towards DAP Secretary-General Anthony Loke.
