Nashik: BJP To Host State-Level ‘Vishwaguru Bharat’ Rangoli Competition On September 3

The Maharashtra State Guru Pournima Committee of the Bharatiya Janata Party is set to host a state-level Rangoli competition centered around the theme ‘Vishwaguru Bharat’ on September 3 in Nashik. The event will take place at Thakkar Dome on Trimbak Road, Nashik. Following the competition, a public exhibition showcasing the Rangoli artworks will be held from September 4 to 6.

The goal of the competition is to showcase India’s rich culture, traditions, spirituality, knowledge systems, and history through artistic expression. Participants include artists and Rangoli enthusiasts from across Maharashtra who will creatively represent the concept of ‘Vishwaguru Bharat’ using various artistic styles. Laxman Savji, the Guru Pournima Utsav Committee State Convenor, explained that the competition will offer a platform for artists throughout the state to beautifully depict India’s civilizational legacy and its progress towards becoming a global leader.

The Rangoli exhibition will open its doors to the public on September 4, 5, and 6, from 10 am to 9 pm. The competition is open to students in Classes 5 to 10, as well as students in Class 11 and above from an open category. The themes for the competition encompass the Indian Guru-Shishya tradition, India’s defense capabilities, symbols of Indian identity and pride, Panch Parivartan for an Atmanirbhar Bharat, the powerful mantra of India’s independence movement, Vande Mataram, and other significant aspects of India’s history and culture.
