Hanuman Ansh box office collection: Made for Rs 2 cr, film earns 40.13 cr; surpasses first 3 weeks’ total haul

Vishal Chaurvedi's devotional film Hanuman Ansh, a biopic of Neem Karoli Baba, has achieved a box office miracle. Despite a sluggish start, it has seen a major surge in earnings during its fourth weekend, even surpassing its total earnings from the first three weeks. Produced on a budget of under Rs 2 crore, the film has grossed Rs 47.33 crore and collected Rs 40.13 crore domestically, achieving a 30% occupancy rate.

It has earned over 20 times its budget. The majority of earnings came from the fourth week. On Sunday (day 24), Hanuman Ansh collected Rs 12.75 crore across 5,363 screens, marking the first time the film crossed the Rs 10 crore mark within a day over its four-week-plus run. It earned nearly Rs 2 crore less than the dubbed Hindi version of Kannada action thriller Toxic: A Fairytale for Grownups, which earned Rs 14.50 crore on Sunday.

The film also outgained holdover tentpole releases like Awarapan 2 and Batwara 1947. Its fourth Sunday earnings of Rs 12.75 crore are more than Rs 11.90 crore earned in the first three weeks. On its fourth Saturday (day 23), the film collected Rs 9.25 crore across 4,137 screens, a significant rise from its fourth Friday earnings of Rs 6.25 crore.

Hanuman Ansh is a historic sleeper hit, starting very slow at Rs 10 lakh on August 7, and gradually rising to Rs 2.20 crore by the third Sunday (day 17).
