Murkomen Plunged Into Mourning

Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen is mourning the death of his maternal aunt, Mama Sokomo Chemeitoi Jepkiror KoJepkosgei. The Cabinet Secretary announced her passing on social media, stating that she had died suddenly after a brief illness. Murkomen expressed his deep sorrow, describing her as a loving and caring woman who played a crucial role in preserving family unity.

"It is with a heavy heart that we share the sad news of the sudden passing of our maternal aunt," Murkomen conveyed. He highlighted her peacemaking qualities, emphasizing how she maintained strong bonds with her mother and ensured the extended family remained close-knit. "Our aunt was loving, caring and a peacemaker," Murkomen remarked.

He noted that her younger sister, their mother, and their mother's sister ensured that the family grew together, supporting one another. Murkomen assured that the family would deeply miss her and offered condolences and prayers to his cousins, his mother, and the entire extended family. "Our Aunt will be dearly missed," he stated, adding, "My condolences and prayers are with my cousins, my mother and her sister, and the entire extended family. May her soul rest in eternal peace."
