Motorway Police Launches New System to Report Traffic Violations

The National Highways & Motorway Police (NHMP) has initiated a new "Be Our Eyes" Awareness Campaign aimed at enhancing passenger safety and streamlining the complaint process for traffic violations on highways and motorways. Syed Imran Ahmad, spokesperson for the NHMP Central Region, revealed that QR code stickers depicting complaint submission channels have been affixed to public service vehicles and their respective terminals.

Passengers can now scan these QR codes to report grievances related to overloading, overcharging, reckless driving, abusive behavior, and other infractions directly to the Motorway Police. Ahmad emphasized that this straightforward complaint mechanism will facilitate prompt reporting of passenger concerns, thereby bolstering accountability among reckless drivers and transporters.

He strongly encouraged passengers to actively participate in the Motorway Police initiative by reporting traffic violations and unsafe practices via the QR code system, which would lead to prompt corrective action. In addition to utilizing the QR code system, passengers can also reach out to the Motorway Police Helpline at 130 for further assistance, guidance, and redressal of their complaints.

The NHMP's "Be Our Eyes" Campaign was officially launched and is set to enhance road safety by actively involving passengers in the maintenance of orderly and secure highways and motorways.
