Mojtaba urges Gulf rulers to confront ‘real enemy’

Tehran has heard Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei’s call for Muslim countries, especially those in the Gulf, to unite against their "real enemy." The leader’s message, posted on his Telegram account, highlighted that divisions among Muslims help the enemies of Islam. Khamenei emphasized the importance of unity, cooperation, and mutual defense in Islamic countries, suggesting that the split among Muslims serves the interests of their adversaries.

He questioned whether the helpless situation of Palestinians would have been avoided if Muslim unity had prevailed. Khamenei also questioned the audacity of "rogues without identity" to covet lands and possessions of Gulf countries if their peoples and governments stood united under the Islamic flag. This plea for unity echoes Khamenei’s remarks made to Iranians, where he banned actions that harm social cohesion and urged authorities to refrain from statements that weaken national and public morale.

The Gulf Arab monarchies have long perceived Iran’s revolutionary ideology, including its anti-monarchic rhetoric and regional influence, as a threat to their political systems. Iran has retaliated against US military facilities and other infrastructure in Gulf states during the ongoing conflict, escalating tensions between Tehran and its Gulf neighbors.

Khamenei emphatically urged the rulers of Islamic countries to recognize their true enemy, understand their plans, and confront them.
