KUALA KRAI: The Kuala Krai Market transformed into a patriotic spectacle today, with nearly 30 traders adorning attire featuring the colors of the Jalur Gemilang and patriotic songs filling the air. This marked the sixth occasion the market celebrated National Day by sporting the flag's colors and donning themed clothing. The colors of red, white, blue, and yellow brought vibrancy to the market, catching the eye of visitors who came to shop for daily necessities.

Traders embraced the opportunity to foster a sense of national pride, turning the market into a space where the spirit of patriotism could flourish among the community. Fish trader Mohd Redzuan Elias, 43, shared that the initiative proved the spirit of patriotism could be cultivated anywhere, even in public gathering places like markets. Grocery trader Noraini Mamat, 62, noted that the atmosphere not only beautified the market surroundings but could also help visitors appreciate the significance of independence.

As National Day is a public holiday, many visitors flock to the market with their families, presenting traders with a unique opportunity to provide an engaging experience. Vegetable trader Ah Lin, 63, hoped that other traders at public markets would follow suit, offering a special attraction that allows the community to immerse themselves more deeply in National Day celebrations.

Visitor Rosidah Mat Shah, 60, commended the traders for their spirit of unity, emphasizing that their actions symbolized a deep love for the country.
