Israeli settlers, wearing masks, have once again attacked Palestinian houses in the occupied West Bank. On Saturday, near the village of Kusra, the attackers surrounded a building and pelted it with stones, according to witnesses quoted by the Reuters news agency. Inside the house, seven Palestinians were found. The arriving Israeli military, however, allegedly attacked the Palestinians, the witnesses said.

The soldiers reportedly used tear gas inside the house, tied up the residents, bound their eyes, and beat them, said the house owner Luaj Bajrudi. The settlers, on the other hand, could have left the scene without interfering, explained the medic Saddam Odaj, who was also inside the building. According to him, four people were injured by tear gas and two others by stone throwing.

The military stated that the troops had retreated to drive away the rioters and protect the residents. The army initially did not comment on the accusations of mistreatment.
