This indicates that the team has finished capturing all of the story content through the actors, suggesting that the game is nearing its final stages. Performance capture is a lengthy process that often spans years, as actors record their performances in segments while the development team simultaneously works on creating the game.

The studio celebrated the successful completion of the ambitious Intergalactic cinematic shoot, praising the cast for their incredible work. While previous Naughty Dog titles like The Last of Us Part 2 wrapped performance capture in April 2019, around a year before its June 2020 release, and faced multiple delays, including one due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the timeline for Intergalactic is currently unknown.
