Imuran joins Aston Villa from London City Lionesses

Nigeria's Super Falcons defender Rofiat Imuran has joined English club Aston Villa Women ahead of the upcoming Women's Super League season, according to PUNCH Sports Extra. Aston Villa confirmed the signing of the 22-year-old international, although it remains contingent on visa approval. The full-back, who began her career in Nigeria's Women's Football League with Sunshine Queens and Rivers Angels, previously played for French clubs Stade de Reims and London City Lionesses.

Imuran made 27 league appearances and scored seven goals for Stade de Reims before transferring to London City in 2024. She made her national team debut for Nigeria in 2022 and was part of the squad at the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup and 2026 Women's Africa Cup of Nations. Imuran expressed her excitement about joining the club, stating that it has a rich history and ambitious goals.
