I would definitely cancel Paramount+ and Disney+ in September 2026 —here's why

Both have recognizable franchises and occasional must-watch hits, but the September lineups don't quite justify another recurring charge. Paramount+ has a new season of MobLand, but other than that, September doesn't offer compelling reasons to keep the subscription.

Disney+ isn't an essential subscription for most families, especially as school starts and free time becomes limited. The biggest new addition is LEGO Star Wars: The Mandalorian, a cute animated special arriving September 2. While there are some good shows like Dancing With the Stars, it may be wise to cancel Disney+ this month.

The savings from canceling these services add up to around $360 a year, which could be used for the holidays or a trip. This doesn't mean you have to permanently give up these services. The flexibility of streaming means you can skip a month when the lineup is thin and resubscribe when a show you want to watch becomes available.
