Four suspects remanded after 29‑year‑old slashed with sharp weapons in brutal Kajang roadside attack

KUALA LUMPUR — Police have apprehended four men in connection with a brutal roadside attack that left a 29-year-old man severely injured near Taman West Country, Kajang on Saturday morning, according to a report by Bernama. Kajang district police chief ACP Naazron Abdul Yusof announced the arrest, stating that the suspects, aged between their 20s and 30s, were initially detained on suspicion of attempted murder under Section 307 of the Penal Code and rioting while armed under Section 148 of the Penal Code.

The victim, found with serious injuries from sharp weapons, is currently hospitalized at Kajang Hospital for treatment. Urine tests revealed that one suspect tested positive for methamphetamine, leading to additional drug charges under Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
