First-ever elite training for 73 railways police ASIs

LAHORE: The Railways Police have commenced an eight-week specialized Orientation Course for 73 recently recruited Probationer Assistant Sub-Inspectors (ASIs) at the Elite Police Training Centre, Bedian, Lahore. The training aims to enhance their professional capabilities in dealing with modern security challenges, emergency response, and protecting passengers.

This is the first time such a course has been organized for Probationer ASIs in the history of Railways Police. The Railways Police Training Fund will cover the expenses of the specialized training to ensure high-quality professional development in line with modern policing and security standards. IG Railways Police Muhammad Wisal Fakhar Sultan emphasized the critical importance of quality training in developing officers' skills and preparing them to effectively carry out their duties.

He assured that all resources would be utilized to provide the Railways Police officers and personnel with the best possible training without compromising on quality. Sultan highlighted that professionally trained officers would significantly contribute to improving the overall performance of Railways Police and enhancing the security of passengers, railway installations, and train operations nationwide.

In light of the current security situation and recent terrorist incidents, modern and specialized training is deemed essential for Railways Police to effectively respond to security threats and ensure safer train operations, particularly on sensitive routes in Balochistan.
