Firms partner on Dei-Dei market phase two

Exclusive Shelters has teamed up with Urban Shelters Infrastructure Limited to construct Phase Two of the Dei-Dei Ultra-Modern Market in Abuja. This follows the completion of the initial market phase. The new phase aims to provide more spaces for traders, retailers, entrepreneurs and other businesses interested in operating in the Dei-Dei area.

The development is taking place amid ongoing commercial and infrastructure growth in parts of the Federal Capital Territory. Dei-Dei serves as a crucial trading center, linking businesses and residents with nearby communities and other parts of Abuja.

Ahmad Bello Kawuwa, Managing Director and CEO of Exclusive Shelters, expressed excitement about the partnership, emphasizing the companies' shared interest in real estate development and delivering successful projects. Kawuwa highlighted that the collaboration combines the expertise and resources of both organizations to enhance project planning and execution.

Urban Shelters Infrastructure Limited CEO, Rilwan Salihu Aliyu, described the partnership as the beginning of a broader relationship between the two companies. Aliyu mentioned that the signing marks the start of joint efforts on this project and potential collaborations in other areas where their collective expertise can be utilized.

The developers stated that Phase Two is a response to the interest generated by the first market phase and is designed to expand commercial spaces in the Dei-Dei area. It will support various categories of commercial activities, such as trading, retail, and entrepreneurship, pending final design, development, and allocation plans.

They also noted that infrastructure improvements around the Dei-Dei axis, including the Dei-Dei-Lifecamp route, will enhance connectivity and support commercial activities by improving movement and access. Exclusive Shelters' involvement in the Karsana-Dei-Dei corridor is part of its overall property development strategy in the FCT, influenced by factors like accessibility, infrastructure, population growth, and demand for residential and commercial facilities.
