Final Texas A&M post-preseason special teams depth chart projection

As Texas A&M prepares to kick off the 2026 season against Missouri State, the Aggies have finalized their special teams depth chart projections. The unit will see significant changes, including a new starting kicker and adjustments in punt returner roles. Following the struggling 2025 unit, coach Mike Elko and special teams coordinator Patrick Dougherty focused on improving the kicking game after Randy Bond and Jared Zirkel's inability to improve.

This offseason, Elko secured a commitment from former Illinois kicker David Olano, known for his NFL-level leg strength and accuracy, and added freshman Asher Murray. With KC Concepcion now playing for the Cleveland Browns, junior wide receiver Mario Craver took over as the primary punt return specialist, while Terry Bussey remains an option for kick returns.

Bussey, who led the SEC in kick return yards last season, will be joined by sophomore Jamarion Morrow as the backup. Shea Freibaum is the starting long snapper, and Boomer Graham, Jacob Graham's brother, will likely fill the backup role. Tyler White returns as the starting punter, with Jared White as the backup.
