Experience and leadership: Ana Beatriz on U-20 World Cup prep

Ana Beatriz, a 20-year-old center back for Brazil's Women's Under-20 National Team, is one of the key figures heading into the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup. At this age, she has already featured in all eight call-ups made by head coach Camilla Orlando and has experience from the 2022 U-17 World Cup, the 2024 and 2026 South American U-20 Championships. Ana Beatriz is aware of the responsibility she carries and strives to share her experience, both on and off the field, in order to contribute to the team's growth.

Having played at club level with São Paulo, Ana Beatriz's dedication and hard work have led to her signing her first professional contract with the club. Most importantly, however, she is looking forward to competing in the U-20 World Cup, fulfilling her family's dream of representing her country at a prestigious international football event.

She acknowledges the importance of the preparation process, which included friendlies and the South American Championship, as it has helped the team understand better what to expect from the World Cup in Poland.

Head coach Camilla Orlando, also from Brasília, has been an inspiration for Ana Beatriz, as they share a connection through their hometown. Following Camilla's career at club level, Ana Beatriz has watched her develop as a professional athlete. Meeting Camilla as the U-20 national team coach strengthens Ana Beatriz's trust and belief in her leadership skills. She is confident in Camilla's guidance and in the development she has witnessed throughout her career.
