Dammam-Delhi Air India Express flight lands in Ahmedabad after bomb scare

An Air India Express flight from Dammam, Saudi Arabia, to Delhi made an emergency landing in Ahmedabad on Monday evening after a tissue paper with the word "bomb" written on it was found in the lavatory, according to police. All passengers were deboarded and questioned, with no case registered at the time of this report.

The Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone 4) Atul Bansal stated that there were 32 passengers on board, and they have all been questioned. Security agencies were also checking the plane, and once completed, an offense would be registered.

An Air India Express spokesperson confirmed that the aircraft had been diverted to Ahmedabad due to a "specific bomb threat" and that all passengers disembarked safely. The Bomb Threat Assessment Committee (BTAC) was alerted immediately, and security procedures were initiated. The flight landed at around 4:30 pm, and all passengers were accommodated at Terminal 2 of the Ahmedabad International Airport.
