Bhopal Welcomes Monsoon With Rabindra Sangeet, Dance & Baul Music At Borsha Utsav 2026

Bhopal's Borsha Utsav 2026 commenced with a delightful two-hour musical celebration on Sunday, blending Rabindra Sangeet, dance, and Baul music to encapsulate the arrival of the monsoon. The festival, organized jointly by Anandodhara Ensemble and Bengali Mahila Samiti, was a tribute to the monsoon through the rich tapestry of Bengali music, dance, and literature. The evening kicked off with Grishma Gaan, summer melodies that set the stage for the poetic and rhythmic journey ahead.

The program showcased the rich diversity of Rabindra Sangeet, Nazrul Geeti, and Baul music, featuring celebrated compositions that resonated with the audience. A standout feature was a dance-drama based on Rabindranath Tagore's renowned poetic work, Bhanusingher Padavali, choreographed by Madhurima Biswas and Anamika Sarkar. This dynamic presentation brought Tagore's poetry to life, captivating the audience with its artistic flair.

A significant highlight of the evening was the felicitation of athletes, coaches, and supporters from Special Olympics Bharat (Madhya Pradesh).
