‘Bad uncle’ gave chocolates: Minor girl ‘sexually assaulted’ by school cab driver in Delhi

A minor girl was sexually assaulted by her school's cab driver in Outer Delhi, police reported on Monday. The accused has been arrested in connection with the incident. The child's parents noticed her changed behavior upon her return home on August 23. Her mother inquired about the situation, and the child disclosed that a "bad uncle" had been giving her chocolates and making her uncomfortable.

The parents immediately informed the school administration on August 24, who presented the child with CCTV footage from various cameras. The footage revealed the accused driver following the girl to the restroom and offering her chocolates before allegedly assaulting her. The accused was subsequently arrested from the school premises.

A police officer stated that a case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act was filed, and the accused's phone was seized, containing multiple videos of him offering chocolates to children. Ongoing investigations are being conducted.
