2026 NFL Roster Cutdown Day Fantasy Reaction: Josh Jacobs and Jaydon Blue fallout

On Sunday, all 32 NFL teams cut down their rosters to 53 players. Among the most surprising moves was the Commissioner’s Exempt List placement of running back Josh Jacobs. Jacobs faces two misdemeanor charges from a May altercation and could be credited with "time served" if a suspension is later handed down. His reliability as a runner could now be a net negative for the Packers due to character concerns.

Puka Nacua, who returned to practice after a groin issue, is not expected to be placed on the Commissioner’s Exempt List before Week 1. His ADP on Yahoo is 4.9, and he out-scored every FLEX player last year despite missing one week.

James Conner is recovering from a season-ending ankle injury and is expected to miss the first four games and the first week of the season. Tyler Allgeier is expected to take on more carries for the Cardinals in the meantime. Tank Dell, recovering from a multi-ligament knee injury, will miss the first four games. Jordyn Tyson, the Saints' rookie wideout, will also miss at least the first four games due to hamstring issues.
