2 terrorists killed during intelligence-based operation in Balochistan’s Washuk: state media

Two terrorists were killed during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the Palantak area of Balochistan’s Washuk district, according to state-run PTV on Monday. The operation was part of the ongoing Operation Radul Fitna, aimed at countering what the state has designated as Fitna al Hindustan, a term highlighting India's alleged role in terrorism and destabilization across Pakistan.

PTV reported that the terrorists were involved in attacks on the Mashkhel police station and the Customs House. Their vehicle was destroyed during the operation, and a significant quantity of weapons and ammunition were recovered. Last week, 11 terrorists were killed in separate IBOs in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. The Pakistan Institute for Conflict and Security Studies' monthly security assessment, released on July 31, noted a significant deterioration in the security situation in Balochistan last month.

The death toll in the province rose by 241 percent, from 109 in June to 372 in July, a staggering 933 percent increase in security personnel deaths, and a 93 percent rise in civilian deaths, from 28 to 54. Additionally, 18 members of peace committees were killed in the province.
