War of words continues between HDK and Priyank Kharge over alleged irregularities in KPSC recruitments

The ongoing conflict between Union Industries and Steel Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy and Home Minister Priyank Kharge intensified on Sunday, as the former criticized the government for its inaction despite red flags in Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) appointments. According to Kumaraswamy, the government has not addressed the irregularities despite prior warnings from the KPSC Secretary.

He questioned why the then Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Minister allowed the appointment order to be issued within four months, highlighting the lack of response from the government. The Home Minister retaliated, accusing Kumaraswamy of not addressing specific issues raised earlier, such as the cancellation of a High Court and Supreme Court order regarding a 2011 gazetted probationary batch, and questioned the minister's visit to a former KPSC Chairperson's prison.
