Theme park performer Bernice Yuen crowned Miss Hong Kong

Bernice Yuen Sze-hang claimed the Miss Hong Kong 2026 title on Sunday night, beating 11 other finalists at the beauty pageant final held at TVB City in Tseung Kwan O. The 26-year-old, one of the favored contestants, won over the judges and audience to secure the tiara in the pageant. Yuen, a graduate of Baptist University with a communication degree, has also performed in theme parks and appeared in theatre, commercials, and as an event host and model.

She expressed surprise and happiness upon being called the winner, with her aspiration being to inspire others through her story. Ada Tang Hong-man, 24, a patternmaker's assistant from the UK, was named first runner-up, while Scarlett Li Chak-yan, also 24 and an ESG reporting consultant, secured second runner-up. Li also won the Miss Photogenic title.

Chorie Li Tang Chengqing, a 25-year-old piano teacher, was awarded Miss Friendship. Yuen previously placed second runner-up at the 2026 Miss Chinese World pageant in Kuala Lumpur earlier this year. Out of the 12 Miss Hong Kong finalists, 84 candidates competed in two rounds of interviews, followed by a swimsuit showcase, talent performances, and a rapid-fire question and answer session.

The Miss Hong Kong Pageant, with a history spanning more than half a century, has launched the careers of notable figures such as Cannes Film Festival best actress Maggie Cheung Man-yuk and socialite Michele Reis.
