Teenager Cavan Sullivan makes MLS history, sparks Union to 3-1 victory over Red Bulls

Harrison, New Jersey - Cavan Sullivan etched his name in MLS history on Saturday night when he scored in the second half, becoming the first 16-year-old to contribute with a goal in four consecutive matches. The Philadelphia Union's victory over the New York Red Bulls was a 3-1 win, extending the Union's unbeaten streak to seven games.

Sullivan's second straight match goal and third in 34 career appearances put the Union ahead 2-0 in the 50th minute. In the 21st minute, Milan Iloski scored his career-high 11th goal, giving the Union the lead.

Indiana Vassilev and Danley Jean Jacques assisted on the first two goals. In the 65th minute, Neil Pierre added a goal for a 3-0 lead. The 18-year-old rookie midfielder scored his fourth goal in seven appearances that night. Bruno Damiani and Iloski provided assists.

For the Red Bulls, Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting scored his third goal of the season in the 74th minute, bringing the match to 3-1. Andre Blake had three saves for Philadelphia. The Union's unbeaten streak against the Red Bulls stands at six wins in 20 tries, leading the all-time series 17-15-9.
