Tech expert urges vigilance over passwords and security for home surveillance cameras
Tech content creator Zaid Salama warns homeowners to secure surveillance cameras by focusing on strong passwords and proper security settings.
Content creator Zaid Salama has cautioned homeowners about safeguarding their home surveillance cameras. In an interview with Al-Ikhbariya radio, the tech expert highlighted the prevalence of home cameras, particularly for those taking care of children and elderly relatives while away. Salama pointed out that merely being aware of potential threats is not enough; proper implementation of security measures is crucial.
He emphasized that during installation, camera companies often set up the devices and create an email account for operation. However, homeowners frequently fail to realize the significance of establishing a robust password. Salama stressed that the email and password for smart camera installations should be solely controlled by the user. Additionally, he advised regular password changes and strict control over camera access, ensuring only the user can monitor the cameras.
