Tearful Federer inducted into Hall of Fame

Roger Federer has been inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame, marking one of the greatest honors of his life. The 45-year-old Swiss legend, who retired in 2022, was visibly emotional during the ceremony in Newport, Rhode Island. Federer, who began his professional career at the tender age of 16, has claimed a record-breaking 20 Grand Slam singles titles, including eight Wimbledon championships, six Australian Open titles, five US Open crowns, and one French Open.

The tennis icon, who shares the stage with Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic as the all-time leaders in men's Grand Slam titles, expressed his gratitude to his wife Mirka, tennis legend Stefan Edberg, and every ball kid who stood through his matches. Federer also joked about his love for tennis, stating, "I'm still writing my love letter to tennis," even though his playing days are over.
