Suspected gunmen kill three in Kano community

In a suspected attack by gunmen, three young men were killed and two others injured in the Chiromawa community of Garin Malam Local Government Area in Kano State. The incident occurred around midnight, with the attackers reportedly opening fire and shooting at people in the community. One of the village chiefs, Alhaji Yusif Nadabo, was abducted during the attack but was later found alive in a nearby village after security personnel and local vigilantes pressured the kidnappers to release him.

The attack has raised concerns over the security situation in Kano State, where armed groups have increasingly targeted communities. As of now, the Kano State Police Command has not released an official statement regarding the incident, which is believed to be the first major attack on the Chiromawa community since a series of similar attacks began in other parts of the state.
