Sonam Wangchuk reacts to Salman Khan’s ‘It’s done bro’ remark: ‘Majbooriyan hoti hongi’

Activist, educator, and environmentalist Sonam Wangchuk, who had been on a hunger strike during the NEET protests, reacted to Salman Khan's comment about ending the fast. The actor had initially expressed support for the student protests against the NEET-UG paper leak, praising their peaceful nature and dedication. However, he then asked Wangchuk to stop his hunger strike, stating, "Sonam, it's done, bro."

Wangchuk responded by saying, "Majbooriyan rahi hongi sabki (everyone would have had their share of compulsions)." He clarified that he didn't want to delve into the specifics of Salman's motivation, but respected his stance. Despite Salman's tweet, Wangchuk continued his hunger strike until the Union Government agreed to meet his demands, including the consideration of the resignation of then-Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
