Signal School Bus not just a vehicle, but a strong bridge connecting kids to mainstream of society: SC judge

Supreme Court judge Justice Vikram Nath emphasized the Signal School Bus project as a bridge connecting underprivileged children to mainstream society. The initiative aims to move education directly to the children's homes, providing basic education and cultural exposure before enrolling them in regular government schools. Nath highlighted the successful implementation in Ahmedabad, which he believes will inspire Surat's children as well.

Nath praised the pragmatic approach of Gujarat, stating that ideas are not confined to paper but are implemented on the ground. However, he stressed the importance of commitment after the inauguration, emphasizing the need for preventing dropouts.

Chief Justice Sunita Agarwal of the Gujarat High Court echoed Nath's sentiments, expressing her earlier suggestion of launching the Signal School in Surat and highlighting the importance of preventing child dropout. She also introduced the Gujarat State Legal Service Authority (GSLSA) War Room, a digital technology room providing real-time monitoring of 32 districts, 257 talukas, and over 4,200 paralegal volunteers.

Three projects were launched, including the inauguration of the Signal School Bus, which brings underprivileged children to traffic signals into the mainstream by providing education and hygiene training. Additionally, the GSLSA War Room and an E-Permanent Lok Adalat (E-PLA) were introduced, both designed to streamline processes and reduce paper-based hassles.
