Russians Attack Ukraine With Two “Iskanders” And 130 Drones — Air Force Details Attack

On August 30, the Russian occupation army launched a coordinated attack on Ukraine, utilizing two Iskander-M ballistic missiles from Russia's Kursk region, along with 130 Shahed-type strike UAVs, Gerbera, S8000 Banderol, and Parody decoy drones. This information was reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and UATV English.

The invaders launched the drones from various directions, including Kursk, Oryol, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, temporarily occupied Donetsk, and Hvardiiske (Autonomous Republic of Crimea). Preliminary data indicates that air defense systems successfully shot down or suppressed 125 enemy drones of various types across the northern, southern, eastern, and central regions of Ukraine. Additionally, fire incidents at 13 locations and four locations with debris from downed drones were recorded.

Ukraine's Defense Forces repelled the air attack, employing their aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems, and mobile fire groups. Reports indicate that Russians targeted Kyiv, resulting in at least three injuries. The State Emergency Service is working to address the aftermath of the strikes in several districts of the capital.

In Obolonskyi district, a fire broke out on the 2nd through 5th floors of a 12-story building following a strike, covering approximately 80 square meters before being extinguished. Podilskyi district saw a non-residential building hit, with firefighters still battling the blaze. In Holosiivskyi district, an administrative building caught fire, but it was also extinguished. Desnianskyi district faced an open area fire covering about 2 hectares, with ongoing firefighting efforts.
