Russia stocks lower at close of trade; MOEX Russia Index unchanged

Russia stocks experienced a downward trend at the close of trade on Sunday, with the MOEX Russia Index remaining unchanged at 0.00%. Among the top gainers of the session on the MOEX Russia Index were ROSSETI PJSC, which remained flat at 0.05, Magnit PJSC, which increased by 2.53% to 1,540.50, and VK Company Ltd, which rose by 2.24% to 121.20.

Notably, OZON, AFK Sistema PJSC, and Moskovskiy Kreditnyi Bank PAO were among the worst performing stocks, with declines of 0.55%, 0.31%, and 0.31%, respectively. The number of stocks that rose was significantly higher, with 185 compared to 49 that fell, and 17 ended with no change. The Russian Volatility Index (RVI), which measures the implied volatility of MOEX Russia Index options, also remained unchanged at 47.81.

In other commodities, Gold Futures for December delivery saw a decline of 3.43% to $4,504.10 per troy ounce, while Crude oil for delivery in October fell 0.11% to $83.44 per barrel, and December Brent oil fell 0.27% to $88.28 per barrel. The USD/RUB exchange rate decreased by 0.19% to 86.14, and EUR/RUB fell 0.78% to 99.77. Lastly, the US Dollar Index Futures increased by 0.55% to 99.64.
