'Renewed commitment': Gargash sets out UAE support for Palestine after 50,000 celebrate ties in Dubai

Dr Anwar Gargash, diplomatic adviser to President Sheikh Mohamed, emphasized the UAE's steadfast support for the Palestinian people after a large crowd gathered in Dubai to celebrate the enduring ties between the two nations. The significant turnout for the Emirates Loves Palestine community event in Expo City Dubai on Saturday demonstrated the "deep-rooted bonds of brotherhood and solidarity" between the communities.

Dr Gargash announced that the UAE would continue to provide a welcoming home to Palestinians, ensuring their security and stability.

The UAE, led by Dr Gargash, joined about 50,000 people from the Palestinian and Emirati communities, along with the nation's diverse expatriate population, at the event. This celebration was part of the Emirates Loves series of events, which aim to showcase the heritage and contributions of resident communities in the UAE. Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, attended the gathering and described it as the "largest gathering of the Palestinian community in the world." He expressed the UAE's "pure support and affection" for Palestine during the event.

Palestinian Ambassador to the UAE, Abeer Al Ramahi, expressed her pride and gratitude at the opportunity to celebrate Palestinian heritage and culture in the UAE. She emphasized that the event was a message of support and affection from the Emirates to Palestine and its people, as well as a thank you to the UAE for its contributions.

A parallel event titled Palestine Loves the UAE was held in the Gaza Strip, organized with the support of the UAE's Operation Gallant Knight 3. This event paid homage to humanitarian ties, Palestinian culture, and heritage, with a live broadcast connecting attendees in Dubai with Palestinians in Gaza, highlighting the strong relations between the Emirati and Palestinian people.

The UAE has provided substantial assistance to Palestine, including financial aid and critical support during conflicts, making it the largest single donor to Gaza in wartime. The UAE continues to offer humanitarian aid, delivering essential supplies and medical care to Palestinian communities.
