Red Sox activate Roman Anthony and Trevor Story for series finale vs. Yankees

In a recent development, the Boston Red Sox activated two key players for the series finale against the New York Yankees. Roman Anthony and Trevor Story were both sidelined due to injuries, with Anthony missing 100 games due to a sprained right wrist and Story sitting out 92 games from a sports hernia.

Anthony, a 22-year-old, was set to make his debut at the leadoff spot as the designated hitter for the final game of a four-game series against the Yankees. Story, 33, began the game at shortstop and entered the lineup in the eighth spot. Both players have been working hard to regain their form after their respective injuries.

Interim manager Chad Tracy expressed his excitement about the players' return, stating that Anthony and Story have been down for a while and have been rehabbing their injuries. Anthony, who missed 100 games, went 7 for 25 with two homers and seven RBIs in eight rehab games for Double-A Portland and Triple-A Worcester. Story, who missed 92 games, went 6 for 35 in 10 rehab games for Worcester and led the Red Sox with 25 homers last season.

This move comes as the Red Sox find themselves three games behind the Yankees in the race for the top AL wild card.
