‘Recognise your real enemy’: Iran Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei urges Gulf nations to ‘confront’ US, Israel

Iran's Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, has called upon Gulf nations to unite against their perceived enemy, namely the United States and Israel. In a written message issued six months after the war in West Asia began, Khamenei urged countries to recognize their true adversary and confront it. He emphasized that the Islamic nations' solutions to their challenges lie in strengthening friendship and cooperation.

Khamenei, who became Supreme Leader following his father Ali Khamenei's death, has not made any public addresses since assuming the position. However, he has released written statements which have been broadcast by Iran's state television. During the conflict, Iran has retaliated against its neighboring Gulf nations, accusing them of using US bases for attacks on Iran.

The Supreme Leader's message coincided with the birthday of the Prophet Mohammed, during which he warned that those who create divisions among Muslims serve the purpose of enemies. Khamenei also addressed the Iranian people, urging them to set aside differences and come together, emphasizing the importance of unity, friendship, and cooperation.
