Qatar, Pakistan seek to deepen private-sector ties

Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Obaidli, a board member at the Qatar Chamber, engaged in discussions with Mehmood Arshad, the head of the Pakistani side of the Qatari-Pakistani Business Council. The meeting aimed to strengthen bilateral trade and investment between the two nations. The focus was on enhancing cooperation between the private sectors in Qatar and Pakistan, particularly in key economic and commercial sectors.

Al Obaidli expressed the Qatar Chamber’s enthusiasm for building strong ties between Qatari and Pakistani companies. He emphasized Qatar’s strong economic potential, as well as the incentives and facilities provided to attract foreign investment. He identified promising sectors for business owners from both countries, such as banking, real estate, trade, and technology, and invited Pakistani companies and investors to invest in Qatar.

The nation’s status as a vital regional hub for logistics and food security, bolstered by advanced infrastructure, was also highlighted.

Arshad affirmed Pakistan’s keen interest in taking advantage of investment opportunities in Qatar. He suggested collaborating with Qatari firms on joint ventures that would benefit both economies.
