Qatar, Pakistan discuss strengthening private sector cooperation

Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Obaidli, a Qatar Chamber board member, convened with Mehmood Arshad, the head of the Qatari-Pakistani Business Council, to delve into enhancing bilateral trade and investment relations. The dialogue centered on fortifying cooperation between the private sectors of Qatar and Pakistan, with a keen focus on pivotal economic and commercial domains.

Al Obaidli conveyed the Qatar Chamber's keenness to cultivate robust ties among Qatari and Pakistani enterprises via genuine partnerships and reciprocal investments. He underscored Qatar's formidable economic potential and the incentives and facilities extended to entice foreign investment. He pointed towards promising sectors for businesspersons from both countries, such as banking, real estate, trade, and technology, and extended an invitation to Pakistani companies and investors to invest in Qatar, citing its status as a pivotal regional logistics and food security hub underpinned by advanced infrastructure.

In response, Arshad affirmed Pakistan's keen interest in capitalizing on existing investment prospects in Qatar and engaging in joint ventures with Qatari firms to deliver reciprocal advantages to both economies.
