President, PM felicitate Turkish leadership, people on Victory Day

On Victory Day for Turkiye, President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif conveyed their warmest regards to President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and the people of Turkiye, according to Radio Pakistan. In a post on social media platform X, President Zardari highlighted the unique and enduring relationship between Pakistan and Turkiye, which is built upon historical ties, shared faith, and mutual support.

He emphasized that the Great Victory of 30th August 1922 remains a significant chapter in Turkiye's history and expressed optimism that the close and fraternal ties between the two nations will continue to strengthen.

Similarly, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif took to X to join Pakistani citizens in honoring the legacy of courage and national resolve of the Turkish people. He affirmed that the bonds between Pakistan and Turkiye are deeply rooted in centuries of shared faith, history, and struggle. The Prime Minister also noted that the two countries have reaffirmed their enduring strategic brotherhood through the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement, alongside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, symbolizing their shared dedication to security and collective defense.

He reiterated Pakistan's commitment to deepening its strategic partnership with Turkiye across various domains to ensure the shared prosperity and security of both nations, and expressed hope that the enduring friendship and brotherhood between the two countries will flourish for generations to come.
