Physically challenged woman attacked with sharp weapon

A physically challenged woman named Sufiya, 42, was reportedly attacked with a sharp weapon in Bengaluru, sustaining multiple injuries. She is currently in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for treatment. According to her family's complaint filed at the Pulakeshi Nagar Police Station, Sufiya had been living with Bhaskar, who is also physically challenged and previously married.

The family claims that Bhaskar visited their home around noon on August 28, informing them of Sufiya's injuries and her subsequent transfer to a private hospital. Upon reaching the hospital, they learned that Sufiya had suffered five injuries to her head and three to her hand. Doctors described her condition as critical. The family has expressed skepticism regarding the incident's circumstances and questioned how Bhaskar's first wife could have attacked Sufiya multiple times with a sharp weapon.

They suspect involvement of multiple perpetrators and are demanding a thorough investigation to determine the sequence of events and identify all responsible parties. The family is also seeking strict legal action against Bhaskar, alleging his responsibility for the incident. The police have registered a case of attempt to murder.
