Owaisi Attacks RSS After Bhagwat’s Remark On Muslims, Calls It ‘Oldest Trick In Playbook’

Asaduddin Owaisi, the leader of AIMIM, launched a scathing critique of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) on Sunday following remarks made by RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat. Bhagwat asserted that a Hindu who believes there should be no Muslims in India "will not remain Hindu." Owaisi denounced this statement as the "oldest trick in the RSS playbook," alleging that the organization presents a different message to the public compared to the views espoused by its key thinkers.

In a detailed post on X, Owaisi argued that the RSS has never renounced the views expressed by RSS founders and ideologues such as Keshav Baliram Hedgewar, VD Savarkar, and MS Golwalkar regarding Muslims and other minorities. He referenced writings and biographies of these leaders, suggesting the organization previously opposed Hindu-Muslim unity during India's struggle for independence and advocated for a singular flag, leader, and ideology.

Owaisi pointed to the 2002 Gujarat riots as evidence of Muslim suffering under what he called the RSS's "proxy rule." He cited Golwalkar's "Gang of Thoughts" to argue that Muslims and Christians were labeled "internal threats" and viewed with "perpetual suspicion." Additionally, Owaisi linked the RSS's ideological influence to policies like the Uniform Civil Code, anti-conversion laws, and the use of stringent legislation such as the UAPA against minority groups.

Concluding his post, Owaisi challenged Bhagwat to openly read selected passages from the writings of Savarkar, Hedgewar, and Golwalkar, inviting the public to judge the consequences of RSS ideology.
