Perdana Menteri Anwar Ibrahim announced six major benefits during his recent State Opening Address, aimed at benefiting all sections of Malaysian society. These benefits include restoring BUDI95 subsidies from 200L to 300L monthly, which has been met with favorable response from the public. Youngsters like 26-year-old private sector entrepreneur Mohd Aliff Rino and 24-year-old private accountant Nur Liyana welcomed the decision, as it provides relief in terms of fuel affordability for daily use, especially for the youth and small business sector.

AI-related initiatives were also welcomed, given the increasing importance of technology in daily life, particularly by students. Iqbal Hakimi Kaharudin, a 24-year-old procurement worker, appreciated the increased BUDI95 quota, which would help reduce expenses for frequent travelers. The Prime Minister also announced a three-month free subscription to a popular AI application for 100,000 young Malaysians aged 18 to 30, who are completing their AI modules.

Furthermore, the government allocated 50% more funds for education up to 2027, increasing the budget to RM1.5 billion, alongside the RM200 million Madani Grace Fund for small traders, night market vendors, and home-based businesswomen. The Prime Minister also mentioned a RM1 billion increase in microfinance facilities, raising the overall amount available to 2026 to RM6 billion, alongside plans to extend the e-invoice exemption threshold from RM1,000 to RM3,000 annually.
