Just 22 games into the season, the club has amassed 52 points, the highest total in league history at this stage, and they are currently on pace to challenge Inter Miami CF's single-season points record of 74.

With 12 matches remaining in the regular season, Nashville SC's current rate of 2.36 points per game suggests they could accumulate around 80 points, surpassing the 2024 record. Head coach BJ Callaghan emphasizes that their remarkable pace does not dictate a specific success metric, stating, "We're about turning the page every single day, getting better in areas that we need to."

A key driver behind Nashville SC's historic run is their attacking trio of Hany Mukhtar, Sam Surridge, and Cristian Espinoza. The trio has contributed 53 goal-related plays across all competitions in 2026, including Mukhtar and Surridge scoring against FC Cincinnati, and Espinoza registering his 11th assist. Callaghan highlights the collective nature of their success, stating, "They're given that opportunity to do that because they've got guys behind them that are also doing their job."

Before their match against FC Cincinnati, Nashville SC honored Tennessee icon Dolly Parton, who passed away on Tuesday at 80. The tribute took on added significance given Parton's longstanding commitment to children's literacy through her Imagination Library. Callaghan remarked, "You combine it also with Kids Night, and if we can take what Dolly Parton's values were, which are values of this city, and give them to that younger generation that was here tonight - kindness, fairness, positivity, but also doing it with a sense of humor and fun - I think that's a great night, a win for Nashville."
