Napoli in talks to sign Lorient’s Noah Cadiou

Italian football giants Napoli are reportedly in negotiations to sign midfielder Noah Cadiou from French side Lorient, according to a statement by Sacha Tavolieri. The 27-year-old Cadiou, born in France, had an impressive season with Les Merlus, impressing with both his physicality and technical skills on the ball. He started both of the Guadeoupe team's Ligue 1 games this season under new manager Alexandre Dujeux.

However, it was during Lorient's defeat to ESTAC Troyes on Saturday night that links to a potential move to Napoli surfaced.

According to Tavolieri, Napoli is aiming to secure Cadiou's services before the transfer window closes on Tuesday night. The Italian club has already initiated contact with Lorient regarding the young Guadeloupe international. Presently, discussions are underway to finalize the deal. Max Allegri, the Napoli manager, is leading the recruitment efforts for the French player.

Les Merlus, while not obligated to sell Cadiou, has placed a value on the midfielder at €9 million, which Napoli believes is a feasible price tag for a club with significant financial resources.
