Key details as Juventus seal move for Tottenham’s Pape Sarr

Italian football giants Juventus have secured a deal to sign Tottenham's midfielder Pape Sarr, moving away from their initial loan agreement. Juventus had previously failed to secure Franck Kessie on a free transfer but have now made significant progress in their pursuit of Sarr. The two clubs had been in talks, with Tottenham having opened up to a loan deal.

The Bianconeri and Tottenham have verbally agreed on an initial loan deal for the midfielder, with details to be finalized before the player travels to Turin for his medical. According to sources, Juventus will pay a loan fee of €3 million, with an option to buy the player set at €30 million. Sarr's salary will be entirely funded by the Bianconeri.

The deal has been reported to be closed, potentially beating competition from Monaco and Besiktas. Juventus are confident they have secured the signing, as they had been in need of a new midfielder due to Khephren Thuram's injury. Sarr, who has fallen out of favor at Tottenham, has also requested a transfer, and the move will provide the London club with financial space to potentially sign Iliman Ndiaye from Everton.
