Israeli settlers beat two elderly Palestinian sisters in Ramallah

Two elderly Palestinian sisters, Mona and Alia Mahmoud Hamed, were gravely injured in an attack by Israeli settlers near Ramallah, according to Wafa news agency. The victims, aged 75 and 65 respectively, were picking figs from their land in Silwad when they were brutally assaulted by the attackers. The sisters were left with undisclosed injuries, and in the aftermath of the attack, their mobile phones and vehicle keys were stolen.

According to the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, Israeli forces and settlers carried out a staggering 2,256 attacks against Palestinians and their properties in July. Out of these attacks, 1,458 were perpetrated by Israeli forces, while the remaining 798 were committed by settlers. Israeli forces were responsible for 1,458 of these attacks, while settlers carried out 798.

Adding to the recent turmoil, six Palestinians suffered suffocation due to inhaling tear gas during a raid on al-Fara refugee camp in Tubas province on Saturday evening. The Palestinian Red Crescent Society rushed to treat the injured individuals. The Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission reports that Israeli forces and settlers conducted a total of 2,256 attacks against Palestinians and their properties in July 2026.
