IRGC claims to have thwarted Israeli, US-linked terror cell in southeastern Iran

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed to have successfully thwarted a terror cell operating in Sistan and Baluchistan Province, southeastern Iran. The cell, allegedly linked to Israel and the United States, was reportedly intent on carrying out acts of sabotage and attacks on preselected targets in the southern part of the province.

Security forces killed one member of the cell and arrested six others, including other group members and supporters. The operation, conducted jointly by the IRGC, Iran's Intelligence Ministry, and the provincial police, was initiated shortly after the suspects entered the area. Iranian authorities identified the group's members through extensive intelligence monitoring.

Upon search, they discovered 20 packages containing explosives, Starlink communication equipment, small and medium caliber weapons, a large quantity of ammunition, and other materials. The IRGC stated that the cell was connected to the "Israeli regime" and the "American terrorist regime," claiming the members planned to execute a series of coordinated attacks with the assistance of the United States.

The IRGC urged Iranian citizens to avoid engaging with hostile elements, emphasizing that the security of the region is a "red line" that will not be compromised.
