Bigg Boss Bangla Season 3 Grand Launch Live Updates: Sourav Ganguly gears up for reality show debut

Bigg Boss Bangla returned to screens after a long absence, with Sourav Ganguly set to host the new season. Though the contestants' identities remain undisclosed, the production team reportedly handpicked celebrities spanning music, acting, sports, and social media. Notable names rumored to be part of the 15-person lineup include Monami Ghosh, Anindya Sengupta, Jhilam Gupta, Sean Banerjee, Srijla Guha, Dipendu Biswas, and Nandini Dutta.

For the 2023 season, the Bigg Boss Bangla house has been redesigned by Shyam Bhatt, covering an area of 7,000 sq ft. Over 55 cameras will be stationed throughout, capturing every aspect of the contestants' lives within the confines of the show. The house's design pays homage to Bengal, featuring elements that echo the region's affinity for the Bengal tiger, music, fish, iconic trams, and Ambassador taxis.

Bigg Boss Bangla 3 is scheduled to premiere on Star Jalsha on August 20 at 8 pm, with regular episodes commencing on August 31 at 9:30 pm, airing daily from Monday to Sunday. The show will also be available for streaming simultaneously on JioHotstar, offering a 24x7 live stream for viewers who wish to catch up on missed episodes.

Rishi Negi, CEO of Endemol Shine India, discussed the show's resurgence at a recent press conference. He revealed that the production house is currently producing Bigg Boss in multiple languages, including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Marathi. Negi's plans extend beyond the current wave of Bigg Boss shows; he stated that Bigg Boss Bangla will be one of many new additions by 2026.

Negi's vision for the show is to make it accessible to smaller markets, aiming for explosive content that will resonate well in the Bengali market.
