The match kicked off with rookie Elias Achouri putting San Diego ahead in the 11th minute, marking his second goal in four appearances for the team. Anders Dreyer contributed two assists, including one that set up Kieran Sargeant's first career goal for San Diego in the 53rd minute, giving the home team a 2-0 lead.
